The Cove — dining, elevated
Dress code for the Cove begins at 5pm. Afternoon hours in The Cove until 3pm: the Oakley’s dress code is enforced.
For Men: Sports coats or jackets strongly requested. Slacks are required. Sport or dress shirts, sweaters, and dress shoes are permitted. Shorts, golf shoes, sandals, denim of any kind, hats of any kind, and sweaty or soiled attire are prohibited.
For Women: Dresses, suits, skirts, pants, jackets, blouses, sweaters, and shoes, including fashion sandals are permitted. Shorts and denim
of any kind are not permitted. Hats are not permitted with the exception of women’s fashion hats that are complementary to ladies’ attire.
Oakley’s — upscale casual dining
Appropriate country club and golf attire may be worn in Oakley’s. T-shirts, cargo shorts/pants, and sweatpants are never permitted, unless approved for a special Club function. Women’s golf slacks, golf shorts or golf skirts of appropriate length and fit are permitted. Open-toed sandals are not permitted; fashionable sandals are permitted for women. Upscale
denim is permitted. “Upscale denim” refers to fashion jeans or tops in good, clean condition without rips, frays, or visible holes. Women are permitted to wear golf hats/caps and fashion hats complementary to ladies’ attire. Men’s hats are prohibited.
Hoodies: Hoodie style sweatshirts (Champion style) and athletic sweatshirts are not permitted, unless in the fitness center. However, some “hoodies” of a sweater or high-quality fabric (i.e. cashmere) and manufactured by a golf brand may be acceptable. In all instances, there must be a collared shirt underneath.
Other Clubhouse Areas
Appropriate country club and golf attire may be worn in the Lunada Bay Room, Montemalaga Room, Bud Oakley Room, Palos Verdes Ballroom, and Event Garden. T-shirts, tank tops, cargo shorts, sweatpants, and denim are never permitted, unless approved for a special Club function. Open-toed sandals are not permitted; fashionable sandals
are permitted for women.
Snack Bar
The
PVGC dress code applies (see section “Pro Shop and Golf Course” for details)
with the following exceptions: Construction workers working on Club property,
PVGC staff and delivery personnel making deliveries to the Club may wear work attire. Players from the Tennis Club may wear tennis attire in the Snack
Bar and the patio outside the Snack Bar only.
Outside Events and Banquets
The PVGC dress code applies to outside parties who have contracted with PVGC to use the Club’s facilities. Applications for exceptions to the dress code may be made at the time of booking to accommodate certain themed events and the specific requests of the client, as long as the event is conducted in an area of the Clubhouse that does not encroach on space reserved for Members while Members are present. The General Manager must approve all departures from the dress code.
